Sample removal
At the end of a type 2 asbestos survey, samples are removed carefully to avoid cross contamination and inaccurate analysis. All equipment used is scrupulously cleaned between removal of individual samples, which are then double bagged and marked with a sample reference before despatch to the laboratory for analysis.
Laboratory analysis
Our samples are analysed by a laboratory accredited by UKAS (United Kingdom Accreditation Service) using polarised light microscopy and dispersion staining techniques in accordance with HSE document HSG248 (formerly MDHS77).
